"Modern Body Suspension" or "MBS" is a progressive Vancouver-based body suspension team dedicated to educating and sharing safe and experienced ritual practices. These practices include hook suspensions, energy pulls, cheek skewering, body piercing, and more. We offer years of experience with all types of body rites, suspensions & pulls; including vertical, horizontal, inverted, tandem and modified suspensions, energy pulls, spinning beams, etc.

MBS originated to bring the opportunity to people in modern day society to experience these ancient rituals and rites of passage in a progressive and safe atmosphere. We continue to illustrate the evolution of body suspension from it's primitive historic roots to it's progression through and beyond today's discerning safety standards.

SusCons & Seminars:

MBS facilitates suspension conventions, seminars, workshops and rituals; both public & private, indoors and outdoors. We are mobile and available for travel to make guest appearances as well as host events worldwide. Images from past suspensions that we have facilitated can be found here.

Fees:

All rituals facilitated by MBS are non-profit. Fees incurred from seminars and rituals are used for re-stocking supplies, venue rentals, upgrading and maintaining equipment, web site costs, etc.

MBS was founded by Russ Foxx in 2004, but has since flourished into many members and affiliates, ranging from professional piercers to suspension enthusiasts. We are always accepting of new members and offer opportunities to witness a ritual before indulging yourself in your own spiritual experience.
