Microdermal anchors were first created in around 2006 and have been growing in popularity ever since. Now, more and more piercers are starting to offer them with many different installation techniques. In my experience, having done them via multiple installation methods, punch & taper is by far the most practical method to use when working with jewellery of this design.

I decided to design a shirt that explains the process of the punch & taper technique in conjunction with a diagram portraying the procedure and design of a microdermal anchor. This particular shirt has kind of a techie look and feel, with my logo on the back. My second design is a suspension shirt with a logo on the front and four vertically placed suspension hooks in the upper back (mimicking a vertical “suicide” suspension).
